Membership Details
Welcome - The Bristol Area Home Builders & Associates are a non-profit, un-incorporated organization formed to help each other’s business prosper and grow. We have been doing this since 1967. Comprised of professional builders, developers, and associated firms engaged directly or indirectly in home building, remodeling, and light commercial construction. We benefit our members through representation, education, networking, information and other various member services.
To all prospective members,
We take great pride in the Bristol Home Builders and Associates organization. At present we have approximately 100 plus members and growing. Our office is located at 335 Meadow Drive, Bristol Virginia 24201.
We meet the third Thursday night of each month at “The Culinary College” (old Va. Post Office) on Piedmont Avenue in Bristol, Virginia at 6:30 p.m. Our program at that time is given by a member of the organization or a potential member with regard to what their particular business has to offer the membership. There are also programs pertaining to building code updates, etc. As much as possible we try to feed each other business. Our membership dues are based on a fiscal year, which ends in June, at a cost of $250.00 per year. Included in this price is the monthly meal for one representative from each business. Others are always encouraged to attend and billed accordingly.
POINTS OF INTEREST:
1. Annual Home Show, held in early spring. (Usually March)
2. Annual Golf Tournament in May.
3. Annual Family Picnic in September.
4. Community projects of varied interest. (Renovation - Haven Home, help to the
Abuse Alternative Center, help to the Boys/Girls Club, playground equip. for
Handicap children, help with college tuition for needy youth, etc.)
5. Annual Christmas Party, in December. This past Christmas, 2007, we took 49
Children for Santa Pals, with members of the organization shopping for these little Folks.

There is election of officers each year with a president, vice-president, sec./treas. And board of directors. Financial statement is available at all times. We would welcome the opportunity to work with you and your company.
Should you decide to join the BHBA, return the membership application to us along with the check for your first years dues. If joining at a time other than June, call the office for the pro-rated amount of dues.
